Scopes are valuable tools, but are only as good as the person using them. There are places to use them in diagnosis. I don't think it would help track down your current issue.

The biggest challenge facing your problem is that every time you get to the shop the issue is not happening currently. All faults are Inactive and everything is functioning fine at that time its in the shop. Often times troubleshooting will lead you down the wrong path or even lead you to replace good parts because at the time everything wiring wise checks out OK. Only experience and detailed interview with the operator will come up with a fix under the conditions you have.
My method of attack for this problem would first to be to duplicate the issue. A shakedown of the wiring may reveal a problem, but then again it may not. Visual inspection of all related harness's and wiring is your best shot at finding the issue without it currently happening.

I would still say you are indeed having a datalink issue between the engine and the trans. I would still be interested in seeing a Eaton printout and seeing faults for Engine J1939 stored in the trans with nothing else would confirm this. 3rd party devices such as E log are usually on D can. This should not interrupt engine/trans communication

I'll be heading to Chicago, to return my trailer as the company I work with can't give me a load till the issue is resolved. While there I'll be going to other shop not same dealership network, that works with my company hopefully they will be more willing to listen to my suggestions.

The kenworth dealership in Memphis, explained the previous visits to but they didn't want to hear, saying they will look at the truck and make their own assessment. Which was new batteries and don't plug in my Elog, 30 minutes later after leaving same issues. Total cost $2300

Thank you again for all your suggestions, will keep you updated as I go on.

Try calling Pittsburgh Power. I'm not sure what they are doing on MX engines today. They would tell you if they can help or not vs keep replacing parts

There was a user here on TTR who had a similar issue going with his truck. I can't remember exactly which truck he had, whether a Pete or KW. But he stated stat PACCAR has a major issue with the CAN system and no shop could fix it.
It might be worth digging in it a bit deeper or somebody find a link.

Truck update, just picked up the truck from the shop in Chicago. They changed the wiring harness and all looks good. The wiring harness was shorting and they couldn't pin point the issue so I decided to change it. Thanks for all the advice.
