Generally no, but I don't know prime specifically. It's just if you pass. Otherwise you have no money to pay them. They're selling transportation services, not training. It's not worth hassling with. If you pass then it's worth it. They know one place you can definitely get a job. They'll give you a job. If you get your CDL, don't go to work for them and go somewhere else instead then they will definitely come after you.

I was terminated by prime inc after doing over 60000miles in tnt, started in July, all I can stay is stay far away from prime it's a joke? I'm telling anybody thinking going to prime is a good idea just dont? you are a slave for mouths? Working for 14 cents a mile while your tnt trainers are literally trash? if they fire you I would not pay the schooling back at all? You did not quit on them they quit on you. Hire an attorney to look at the contract and move on to a better job, I have dealt with so much crap these last mouths it's unreal, I've got 5 mouths experience now and I seen through primes bullcrap, it's just another mega bottom feeding company

Ya know, my big gripe was when I got a fender bender I don't have a multi-million dollar company to represent me in court as a "Lease Operator." I was all on my own. I paid it out and forgot about it, but if that was a much worse accident? Yikes. Am I wrong to say as a 27 year old kind of new to adulting, that if I for instance had my legs crushed in a bad accident, without health insurance while I was a "Lease Operator" at Prime (Forgot the health insurance I signed up for as a company driver was canceled), that I would have been #### out of luck with a lot of medical bills and broken legs?
As for the training costs, if you ask around or read all the "Deal with the Devil" terms and conditions crap they shovel onto you at Prime, you'll see that if you leave earlier than 1 year after obtaining your CDL I believe it was, you owe around $5,000. If you leave before you get your CDL, I believe they might just charge for the Greyhound. Also if you get fed up with the overworked PSD trainer, there's a good chance you'll be hoofing it to the nearest Greyhound station as well... Or so I heard in the SLC terminal. Again, you'll foot the bus fair. -
