I spoke to them about 6months ago, and They had pay packages for experience drivers, but I wasnt sure, I just checked their website last week and there is no pay for experienced drivers, its all at .32cpm. I worked for them back in the days of the Woodland terminal, I remember that crew that worked there, they had a good people skills and took care of me. They shut that down and transfer all of us to Fontana I lasted 3months. That was a long time ago.

Hey Woodland is where I started with them at. When did they shut that down? When I worked there they had a trailer, and I think 3 trucks in the yard. Not much of a terminal compared to the one in Jackson. that was 20 years ago. My trainer was a ex log driver from OR who drank a half rack of Tab a day and 2 cans of chew and the trucks where governed at 58. Now thems where the good old days:yes2557:

I can assure you that the management and owners are not suffering any, only the little pee-on truck drivers that slave away each hour of everyday for this low-class outfit will suffer. Don't be so quick to defend these people because believe me they don't give a #### about you, in fact just the idea of truckers defending them would be enough for the trucker despising management at KLLM to get a good laugh.

    CHUNKY MONKEY Thanks this.

BIGBLUE19, they shut woodland down around 1995-97. I am not 100 percent sure what year. But once we got tranfer to the Fontana yard , it started going down the hill. Bill was my dispacher out of fontana, he was an old grouchy Dispacher, then a Ladie came in to help him out. She sucked(vicky) was her name i believe. those days it was a good company for me anyways. I live in Washington state, but I enjoyed my time there.

Veteran driver here, never ..never lease a tractor from a company, many companies are doing this just to get the driver to make the payments on there truck. Its a scam. An never set yourself up to be trapped, always have an out other options. If you want a truck,go through a dealer.so when things go wrong you can pull that truck. I know i sound cynical, but you cant trust people in general. And especialy companies that are hurting for money.

I was looking at KLLM before I ended up going with Maverick. Looks like I made the right choice.

It is true that the website shows 32 cpm and shows nothing for experience, but it does show rates for teams with up to 9+ years of experience. It's odd that they don't show anything for solo drivers with experience.

I wonder if it's just an accidental omission or if they're trying to switch over to all teams. I seem to remember reading that other companies are getting away from having solo drivers and are going with all teams. I will call them tomorrow and will let you know what I find out.
