Nope. Solo. And E-logs. I don't take time off. And I run in long stretches. Usually 6-7 hours straight to start my day and then finish up what's left. Plus I usually get 1,000+ mile runs so less time sitting and waiting at customers

Twas the knight before swiftness and all through the lot, hoods were ripped off, and tires were popped. Mechanics were scratching their heads with despair, at all of the trucks they just couldn't repair. The insurance got cancelled, because of D.O.T score, on a hundred point scale, they're a one-fifty four. The wheel holders cried as they walked out the door, without Swift or Knight, I'm a trucker no more.

aside from mocking the two, I do wonder how a merge like this will affect the rest of the industry?

Trucking industry is eerily resembling the airline industry with the mergers and acquisitions going on. When Delta and Northwest / United and Continental merged - it left less competition and fewer choices for the flying public.

Exactly, 4k miles at 65 mph AVERAGE SPEED is 61.5 hours. Guess pretrip/posttrip and fueling is optional there. So is loading and unloading.

Oh it will be good for the money folks. Stockholders and top management will make out like champs!
Probably be the only ones who don't get screwed.

Aren't family reunions fun! Look! They are kissing and making up!
Money! The real motivation for any merger.
And yes, regardless of what the mouthpieces are saying, there WILL be changes. Lots and lots of changes.
However, I agree with the poster who recommended that if you're working for either one, don't panic. If I was there, (thank God, I'm not,) I'd just keep doing my job, until I see how things shake out.

Does this Swift truck have an itchy fender or is it just taking a nap?
