I would call and follow up and ask. Side note, I wish you well with your weight and I hope you improve on it.

I should know why it has been put on hold tomorrow when I go in for orientation. It's the Idaho Falls terminal. As for my weight...I have seriously changed my eating habbits and started lifting weights and doing cardio again. I'm keeping a blog of my story to prove that truck drivers can still get in/keep in shape even while were on the road :biggrin_25525:

You don't think 340 set off a red flag?

My thought is that it did just that.

Oh.. Here we go again. Another little skinny truck driver blaming everything on the over weight truck drivers. I get so sick of hearing that just because were over weight, we just have a huge disadvantage and our health will go south in a matter of minutes. Give it a rest, most likely its just a kink in the system or a previous employer. If they are discriminating against you for your weight.. Its the same thing as a racial or religious discrimination and you can own the company. Jeez man..

    Joetro Thanks this.

not saying that your not physically fit.

    but let's be realistic.

overweight, isn't exactly good for your health.

my brother in law. hauls oil. don't know how much he weighs. but it's a good number. he's also on medication. he could go to bed any night now. for the last time.

he used to be skinny, smoked, and drank like a fish. now he's heavy, and on death row. and the doctors say quitting smoking and drinking didn't lead to his condition, but it played a big big part.

quitting is supposed to be good for you. but quitting didn't work for him.

Looking at your picture on your avatar, it's hard to believe you weigh 340 lbs.

I'm not even in my avatar image...I actually weigh 342 lbs. My blood pressure, heart rate, cholesterol and blood sugar are all within the normal/healthy category. I passed the physical that Knight Transportation performs on all of it's new hires. Like I said earlier, I've never been a smoker or drinker in my entire life and have never had any major health issues aside from my sleep apnea.

I worked for Knight just a short time. I am also big and on a BiPap machine basically same as a CPAP. Remember 1 thing, Knight does not have inverters so make sure to buy a decent dc one to run off a cigarette lights slot. Plan to sweat alot and have it not work and kill your truck since you an only idle between certain temperatures I think you cannot idle when it is 32 and 86. I can't remember. Anyway I had a hard time since truck would just off at night then the alarm would go off and such. After 3 months I decided to give up the promise of removing the idle shutdown or putting in an APU never happened besides my stuff being stolen out of my truck and never recovered. Anyway I dont mean to be a downer just wanted to give you a heads up. Safety delayed me because of my sleep apnea.
