Laid off. I have no CDL, no driving experience, want to work in oil fields. Help!!

    So true, some places like Sunoco will even reimburse you for your tuition. Just keep a receipt and go to work for them first right out of CDL school. Also they usually want you to get hired on within 4-6 weeks of completing CDL school.

    If you go to work some place in the oil field that doesn't reimburse tuition, you can earn the equivalent to what you paid in tuition in a few weeks. Imagine all the kids going to college right now racking up $50K+ in tuition debt only to graduate and make $20K their first year. Makes $3500 paid out to earn $60K+ sound like a steal!
