Leaking oil after clutch replacement. Where is it coming from?

    Thank you again to all of you guys that trying to help me,
    First I want to apologize if I didn’t explain completely what happened for me,
    I checked my engine oil dipstick 2 times after I received my truck from Charlotte dealership,
    And in both times it shows that I lost a little bit engine oil( I explained that for these mechanics here in Pennsylvania and they said it can’t be a problem)
    Plus, when I go under the truck and take a look to it I saw a little bit clear yellow oil,
    Actually yesterday when I bring my truck to this dealership in Pennsylvania it was hard for me to changing my gear
    These guys told me the truck has some diesel leaking and the clutch tank oil leaking and they told me they need to change those to stuff plus something else
    This afternoon they told me the truck is ready they charge me 2700 for that,
    But I only drive it for 25 miles and when I go on there the truck I saw that it is leaking something like a green oil
    Again I come back to the dealership and I show those guys they say that leak is disel but I think it can’t be disel because it doesn’t smell like diesel,
    And also I want to tell you that my coolant in my radiator is red so it can’t be radiator coolant too,
    I’m scared maybe that’s leaking is the oil of transmission?
    Or I’m wondering what type of Floyd I have in my truck that looks green?

    The green is probably fuel. They may not have wiped the whole area down perfectly clean and some of the fuel that dripped it may have mixed with some oil or hydraulic oil or whatever the other leak was you had. So it may not necessarily smell exactly like diesel.

    I don't think your transmission is leaking. The only place that can leak is up at the front cover where the input shaft is. If you're really worried about it you could take the inspection cover down and shine a light up there see if you see any oil but I doubt you have any leak from there. If it was leaking gear oil from the transmission you would probably smell it because gear oil has a unique smell to it and it's also thicker than engine oil or diesel.

    If I understand you correctly they told you you had a diesel leak but when you left you still have the same leak.

    I would not give them any more money and tell them to fix it and go from there.

    Last night I again came back to that dealership and told them what happened for me so they told me that they should change another part,
    After that I didn’t see almost anything leaking from my truck,
    Well it seems that they fix it,
    But I a little bit feel that changing gear is hard for me,
    Specially when the truck is completely stopped and I want to put it in gear it is hard to make a noise,
    I’m worried that maybe my new clutch has a problem ?

    Do you feel the clutch brake when you push the pedal all the way down to the floor?

    Sounds like it’s fixed, might still need a little adjustment. I never had a slave cylinder, or self adjusting clutch. Friend of mine had trouble with his, after replacing the clutch. They weren’t out to rip him off, just how it goes sometimes. Good Luck.

    I have a hydraulic over air clutch in my rig. It also has the self adjusting clutch. For me it has given me problems, First thing the cylinder on the clutch pedal leaked all the brake fluid out on the floor of the truck , Secondly, the clutch pedal has a plastic bushing on the pedal arm, this wore out, plastic bushing that is.
    So, I replaced the plastic bushing with a steel bushing I took out of a slack adjuster. This was a new truck with about 60,000 miles on it at the time.
    Thirdly, the transmission locked in reverse, couldn't move the truck. So, ordered a new piston and slave cylinder, replaced them and got the Winter in with it.
    All along I'm paying the shot out of my pocket, 5500.00 into it by now ok? About a month ago, this self adjusting clutch wouldn't clear the gears, finally a decent mechanic told me my clutch is shot, no way to adjust a self adjusting clutch. Clutch is covered supposedly by a 400,000 mile warranty, have the paper work. Dealer told me where I bought the Truck that they could only replace my clutch on warranty if the springs were broken on the pressure plate, I had no broken springs.
    Long story, I found another Dealership, explained my problem I was having, they bring the Truck in and replace my clutch, 100% warranty.
    This time I put the clutch in that is adjustable. Today so far the clutch is working properly.
    Point is if I was ordering a new Truck today I would make sure it has an adjustable clutch in there, no more self adjusting clutches for me.

    No , it doesn’t brake
    Actually today I showed it to a mechanic and he told that it is normal,I think it was beacause my experience is not too much

    You go all the way to the floor. The RPMs should drop maybe 50? And then the engagement will be easier. Otherwise over years it will hurt something, not sure what in the tranny gets nicked up. But something does.
