Safeway Distro in Auburn,WA......I had 2 apt there, same building but different sides. first apt at 0500, second apt at 0600. First apt took off 2 pallets than received news that lumpers servicing second apt on the other side of the building would not be to work to offload until 0300 the next morning......they finished at 0600 the next morning. 25 Freaking hrs at this place......

 

Think you beat me by a half hour! Toys R Us... dont remember which DC centerwe were delivering at. They said the unload was taking for ever because of the wrong barcodes were on the boxes and it was MY fault for it.... right like I went into the trailer and put wrong barcodes on all of them. Said I couldn't use the bathroom either. Told them fine i would drop my pants right there and take a load off my mind. Finally escorted me to the bathroom. When I came back told them I had been charging detention pay. They laughed at me. Never saw any detention pay. Had the company I was leased to calling them every half hour too. Never hauling a load for them again!!!

 

I have more years in the industry than you and I will take the help from Unions any day. I think some of the quotes you have under your posts are pretty far off the mark. Wow you and de-regulation of the industry go hand in hand.

 

Little over 18 hours, wasn't allowed to use their restroom, or allowed in the building at all, no porta pots or anything, could not drop trailer according to them. I found a door and walked in not knowing we were not allowed inside, and a guy on a tricycle had a freak out. I had to call our safety department and get permission to drop the trailer in the door and to leave and find a restroom outside of the facility. Guard shack was nice enough to allow us to use their restroom which was still against the rules. Guard allowed us to use their microwave since our inverter was broke so we could have dinner.

All for a load of return pallets..

 

You guys ain't even started. Durabag in Florence, KY. 37 hours. Left 10 hours after the load was scheduled to arrive in Chicago.

Wow good god and I thought I had a bad situation. ..
Supposed to pick up a preloaded trailer awsome , I can screw off cause I got like 2days to get it there 900 miles easy... cool supposed to be loaded by 19:00 I left at 1 in the morning no trailer and no clock left , show up next morning and the yard jockey was just pulling it out of the he dock .... hahahahaha really ? Way to go con agg foods .....
Now I have been fighting my schedule every since and that was 3 days ago ....
At least it wasn't a live load where I had to stay hooked I would have been pi@*ed
