well the way the economy and the freight is right now i would not say no too much. lets say it could be your job if you say no. I have a good fleet mgr and he tries to get me the best available load that is on the screen at the time. i take the good with the bad and if i make it home great if not all i can hope is i am out making money and having a good start to the week.
my husbands fm never calls him, but my husband isnt to good of a communicator anyways. I think he thought when he started trucking he would be alone and wouldnt have to worry about co-workers or bosses but that isnt exactly how it has been.
Good FM's realize that they are NOT your boss, rather a tool to help you get what you want out of your career.
