Yea back in the day I was debating on applying to "Stevie Wonder Institute For Truckers" but they required black glasses and I couldn't afford them..
But they did offer me a lease purchase program for the glasses. Lmao

I have had a broken brake spring bouncing around in the drum sound like a dragging chain.

I 've had broken brake springs in the truck drop axle. And i've had those chrome peices lose a nut and bolt off the mudflap and started dragging on the ground. I've also had my tire chains barely touching teh ground.

    Ke6gwf Thanks this.

What about those pull thru chain deals that some flatbeds have?

You positive there's not a bearing going bad after its gets hot? Whats the oil look like? Good luck and hopefully you get it solved asap.

I'm still dealing with the problem but I think it's a barring too. But of course the noise stops when anyone goes to look at it. But now my abs light is on to!

There ya go, thays a strong clue. Honestly, Im not sure how big truck ABS is designed, but if its like a car or pickup, itll have a reluctor ring on the hub with a wheel sensor on the housing, when a bearing starts goin out itll get play in it and that changes the air gap between the reluctor ring and sensor. Thats the first thing I would check. Good Luck and let us know whatcha find out...

Its kind of machined into the hub I think. So if you can get the abs to flash a code or have someone scan it they should be able to tell you what the fault is and then you can look at that axle end.
