Just as I figured. Like Volvo it looks like they’re phasing out their manual transmissions. The only truck you can get a manual transmission in a Mack truck is the Anthem.
Looks better than the new VNL, which is what it is underneath of course. I could be tempted if they'd sell it with an I-shift (M-Drive same thing) and a NON TC D13 but I bet they won't offer the standard D13 in it. I think Volvo is getting away from those as well.
As far as Tupperware Torpedoes go, it's not a ugly as some others, but when I think of a Mack, the R model immediately comes to my mind. I mean, I don't HATE it, but it's gonna take a couple six packs to make it anywhere as cool as an R model.
The naturally aspirated D13 has gone the way of the dodo. They’re all turbocharged now. The I-Shift is either a 13-speed or 14-speed. At least Volvo gives an option on gear ratios.
