Hey Tony, what kind of retirement plan do they have at Golden States? I have a Golden States near me in in Wisconsin and I heard they might be hiring in the spring.

The usual 401k plan with a company match, I also took out the extra 15% that they allowed for the last 15 years of employment. figured if I don't see it I won't miss it. I had just a hair over 30 years in , but he main reason was they moved their DC and it would have been a 2 hour drive for me to just get to work. But I can say this , they offered a VERY , VERY generous severance package to all of those who did not want to relocate. At my age it was to my benefit to take that package and retire a little (2 years) early. I can truthfully say that the company treated its employees with respect, and had one of the best compensation packages in the fast-food industry...dang hard work..but well worth the effort. If you are interested , shoot me a pm and I'll give you more info.

I was with Sysco, some of the guys went over to GFS from Sysco and said it was much more organized and easier to sort through cases. They are hiring in my area now, but I pretty happy where I'm at.

Anyone though in the northeast Ohio area should look into it if you can handle a little work.

You should be making at least $52k a year in any trucking job. I make between $52k for 40 hours, and up to $80k on a 60 hour pay check. There is no need to go over the road and enter yourself into slave labor.
