Seeing company A pulling trailer from company B does not mean A is part of B, B owns A, or any other combination of A & B.

The big problem I have is that good jobs once required experience, obviously to keep the stupid people out, and they paid better.

Now we have the big training companies such as Swift leeching their tentacles into everything and everywhere. Hiring standards drop, followed by pay scales and the general quality of employees, and the race to the bottom begins.

If you need to be home every night, find an hourly paid job that has OT available. Even $20 per hr can gross as high as $1400, working 12 hrs per day, 60 hrs per week. Surely there’s something available in Atlanta. Forget about the size of the Company and job security. There’s no such thing. This isn’t 1960. Everything changes. Even at the big Companies. Especially in Trucking. Theres different jobs out there, that value hard working dedicated workers. It’s not the Megas or the Super Store employers. There’s a very large Movie Industry in Atlanta for instance, maybe someone with a CDL, could be of value. The workers at the small shops I’ve loaded at seem pretty happy. Not all stressed out. Not to mention line haul jobs that return home every night. The job you’re doing now is a killer literally. You’ll look back someday and regret staying as long as you have. You definitely won’t regret quitting. Get busy, look around. Should be able to find a job in less than a week.

Space Truckin and Chinatown Thank this.

Keep us posted. If none of those work out, we'll keep looking.
