He doesn't recommend doing this but it can be done.
Performance is much greater at the 4:1 Peak to carrier ratio.

I will chime in here on 2 fronts, first of all rabbiporkchop and I did a deal a (swap) as he posted on another thread,
    http://www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/posts/5243140/

While the swap between him and myself went great, and both are happy,

he constantly BASHED my galaxy DX 959 that I just got new a week or so ago that bells CB did, now most in the bells cb thread recommend their work hence why i purchased the dx 959 from them

every other person I have asked for a radio check said it sounded great..
except for rabbiporkchop. nothing personal but he believes in Marks work is great i guess we can say it lightly and leave it at that..
    .
So, now I have 2 hr2510 radios one WENT out to Roger Bird who is a really great tech and easy to get a hold of
he will receive it Friday and he is 1/3 the cost of the tech mention in this thread (mark)

I have spoken to Mark on the phone and he is a great guy on the phone, why the attitude in the videos?
I have no clue maybe its a heat of the moment trying to get a point across thing? but on the phone he does seem Ok,,
I will send the OTHER 2510 out to him, it is one he supposedly already worked on in the past..
even though it will cost a lot more I will have 2 to compare from different techs..
that is about as fair as you can get..
2 same radios done by 2 different Techs time will tell :)

Now in closing rabbiporkchop is a great guy and i am glad i met him, i am tossing both sides out.
Also note rabbiporkchop radio sounded VERY LOUD AND CLEAR YES THERE WAS NO DENYING THIS
we both talked to each other approx 15 miles apart to 10 feet apart testing radios..
So you will have to make your own conclusions based on your own experience.

Most drivers will say anything sounds good if it's loud and doesn't squeal or hum. The first radio I had tuned up sounded like a steaming pile of elephant dung, but all the responses were always "sounds great!" "top shelf!" "loud n proud driver!" etc.

I would trust rabbi's input over most others on the air.

exactly my point rabbiporkchop told me like it was lol Time will tell and i might have to even send the GALAXY over to MARK also if it sounds that bad..
Like i said rabbiporkchop is a great guy im glad we did the deal, and glad i met him but he had a strong emphasis on Marks work and it was a little stand offish at first.. that is my point

    rabbiporkchop Thanks this.

When you asked me how your radio sounded, I hope my chuckle didn't offend you. That wasn't my intent. This is basically what I was hearing.
I blame the "tech" not you.
