Married couple, how to start? (she only wants to drive with me)

One married couple was hired by Old Dominion Freight Line as new cdl school graduates.
Big money there; $125G per year for each driver in the team and may even be more after getting a good route.I don't know how the training works, but for that money right out of school, may be worth a little sacrifice.
If you're interested in big money right out of the gate, contact Old Dominion and ask if the school you're considering is one they will hire from.

Personally, if my wife/partner, wanted to drive, I'd want her trained by another female. Mine would just take it more serious if it wasn't me showing her what/how to drive. I understand exactly what you're saying though and I did actually look into this a few years ago but I don't think I ever got far with the leads on what company would allow me to. Seems like Prime/Schneider/US Express came up. But honestly the time it would take to become a trainer with a decent company vs the money you could make right off the bat after both of you finished the training is prob worth her just getting it over with a female trainer. The one thing you've got in your favor is a company wanting to accommodate a husbad/wife team as best they can to keep them.

 

I’m with @Chinatown - pursue the ODFL route. We did it for 7* years. Great money.

Here's another one similar to Old Dominion, except it's union. You and your wife can team and both be vested for a pension in 5 years.
This way you have two pensions on top of your military pension.
Someone posted new sleeper trucks are being purchased for the teams, but haven't seen photos yet. This company is growing rapidly.
