I tried everything i could think of to make the mattress more comfortable, but nothing would work. My wife bought me a Sleep Number mattress and WOW, what a difference it made from day 1.. Kinda expensive, but well worth it. Slept like a rock from the first night. Size is a Twin XL = 38" wide by 80" long.Plug into a 100 watt cigarette lighter inverter and it works like a champ... Like i said, not cheap but well worth the money. No more back ache, sleep very soundly.
I always just took a king size top sheet and folded the edges way under the bed, it would stay in place great. Kind of made me have flash backs to boot camp though.
Sounds like a great idea, how much did it set you back? I am going to be converting a KW Studio sleeper from a couch to a bed, so im fixin to have to buy a bed anyways, might as well get something that wont kill me.
She worked them hard and it was still almost $600.00 Sounds like alot, but it was well worth every penny of it. After the first night on the new bed- NO backache, slept 9 hrs straight (for me-unheard of), even in the T/S at Corning,Ca She told me it was money well spent.
That isnt bad, I mean a regular full size spring mattress is about that. I am thinking im going to stuff one in my rig now.
The only time I use a sleeping bag is when I'm camping. In the truck I use sheets and blankets, just like at home. I went to Costco and got me a twin size gel memory foam mattress pad. Best $100 I ever spent, I sleep like a baby. I see this was posted 2 years ago, so you've most likely got it handled. But I strongly suggest the mattress pad. I just got a new (to me) truck, so I'm waiting to get home to get the rest of my stuff. What I need is the style of mattress that Peterbilt puts inn these 387'a when they're new.
I dunno .. babies dont sleep very well, always waking up and crying .. I would prefer to sleep like a log!
