I worked at May 4 years ago and they where OK, made .36 a mile, drove a ungoverned Frtshkr.

1 good people, good pay, good payroll
2 avg tractors, poor equipment, avg to below avg miles and maintenance
3 bad load unload times, facility's outside brooks, miles per load

    I give them a grade of C to C-

I was there exactly 6mo's and handed in my keys. Just to many short mult stop jeldwen, GP and bimart runs and paper to grocery whse with long waits for me. Also did more chaining in 6mo's with May then I did in 7 years with USX. They love to run you back and forth across mountain passes on 200 mile time wasting turns.

I believe if you carry yourself right (not you specifically) you too could have good treatment. I believe you get out what you put in, drivers with out understanding of others struggles and set backs can be hard to deal with. Trucking is a hard business and not just for the driver..

Thanks for the comment brother! Good luck to you! See you on the interwebs!

Hey Ricky, good news. I just got a call from Amanda telling me that there is now a safety manager in Denver and you won't be going to Utah now for orientation. Are you about done with school?

MileHiBud. Not going to go with May, to many hoops to jump thru, tough to prove I was a self employed remodeler, taxes were not enough for them. Talking with JBS Carriers out of Greeley. Will haul meat. good equipt, and overall package. closer to home to.

Ya, it seems they are picky about being self employed. I have an ap in at JBS too. They were at a job fair at my school a couple of weeks ago and brought one of their new Peterbilts. Nice! Rumor has it they are getting 400 more of them early next year. Be good for you since Loveland is so close to Greeley you would be able to get home anytime you are stuck at the plant waiting on a load. I am also waiting on a friend who might be able to get me on with an oil drilling co. Sure is nice to have choices about where to work especially having no experience. Good luck and Merry Christmas!

Watch your butts with JBS. They have to install EOBR's due to some log book issues and other things.
