Maybe it is time to stop changing to the left lane for cars entering the interstate

Wow. How does it feel to be a henpecked, P-whipped shell of a man?

You disrespect me in my house, you'll be out on your arse so fast you'll think Einstein was wrong about the speed of light. If stepdaughter thinks she knows everything, she can dang well GTFO. And if the wife has a problem with that, she can do the same. This isn't hard.

MD’s “finest” likes to do DOT inspections on the roadside. Gee, that’s not playing with fire at all.

In addition to that, you have the world’s idiots who will cause a traffic mess moving over for this activity taking place on the shoulder of a merge lane when there is ALREADY a lane width between the activity and the through lanes.

I may have come off a bit harsh, and I do apologize for that. But the dynamic here is pretty ugly. @tarmadilo should understand that the die has been cast. The fact that his wife raised a disrespectful brat and continues to condone this behavior, means that he will always play second fiddle to his wife's daughter. He will always be number three, behind his wife and SD. Not an arrangement I would embrace, but I can't live anyone else's life for them.

A little courtesy on the road is free.
Helps when the other guy is paying attention and acknowledges it.
It doesn't take away your hours and may improve the outlook on your day.
Who knows, it may even inspire that driver to show a bit down the road...
But I wouldn't bet on it...:)

I slow down or move over all night long. Might lose 5 minutes on a 554 mile run.
