Got any family or friends in Ohio that would let you list their address? I could prolly talk to the wife and see if she's cool with you using our address. Where in Ohio are you from?

Stupid question... I'm starting at a reefer trailer with spread axles. Never saw one, or maybe wasn't paying attention. Is there some specific reason why someone would want that? Just for extra weight? It almost doesn't make sense. I've never heard of any such thing as a permitted reefer load, and you'd need a permit to scale over 80k.

I live in Olmsted Falls, I went to high school in Vermilion and have floated around the area for the 20 years or so since. Eww, more like 25 lol! Thanks for the offer, I have a friend in Ashland that I'm sure would let me use his address for a minute. When I do make the final change I've been told to look into the non-state tax states, I've been hearing about them a lot, from guys on here too. I've been pointed towards getting a mailing address in Texas or Nevada but have also seen that that's become complicated since 911. I may just say enough already and stick to using my Mom's address outside of Pittsburgh! Thanks again

Right on. I'm in Green, which is just a tiny bit south of Akron. Far enough outside the city limits to not have to claim Akron as my home town, thank god. And far enough away from that dump to have deer in my back yard and beautiful scenery.

I'm in Olmsted Falls the home of getting stuck by one train, just to get stuck by another 5 minutes down the road. And the highest local RITA tax rate outside of Wellington, ugh not gonna miss this area much. At least it's quiet and away from the congestion, which is nice until you want to be somewhere lol!

I saw a lot of them when I ran out west back in the 90s. I think it's for the same reason we run spreads on some of our "heavy haul" trailers. You can just load it and go and not worry so much about your axle weights. Some of that reefer freight is heavy. I remember our Ore Ida loads being as close to 80 as they could get em and sometimes they'd mess us up and have to rework us.

They *finally* got my truck fixed this morning. Now the problem is that they were unable to repower my load, and now the earliest they'll take it is 0600 Monday. So that means I'm hanging out in Raphine until Sunday night. Looks like the closest place to the receiver to park is a rest area. I don't mind spending the night in one but all weekend? Oh hell no. So I'll stay here tonight and tomorrow night and stay at the rest area Sunday so I don't have to start my clock so early Monday morning.

You are allowed 40k on a spread, still can’t gross mire than 80k. Think has something to do with the bridge law in California as well but not sure on that.
Refer’s will run you heavy at least that what I do. Usually somewhere 78-79k gross

I've been approved for orientation with Millis and have a choice of Trenton, Eden, and Cartersville. Which location does the best orientation? Also if I chose health insurance through Millis, would my wife be eligible if she's offered health insurance through her employer?

I haven't been through the program in Cartersville but I was down there for Memorial day weekend, I stopped in and asked Steve Allen about a zillion questions and he was super cool and helpful, along with a few other people there who my dad had ran into. I'm starting Trenton in July. Trenton or Hamilton, I think the school is in Hamilton but the terminal is in Trenton? Don't quote me on that lol
