I hauled this satellite for Hughes out of California to Titusville, Florida
The first direct to home satellite, 5 channels, around 1990, in their custom moving van, 10 ft wide.
    $150 million.

These are pictures of the load, explosive placards because of the bolts to separate from rocket.

yeah, the terminal was in Richmond, VA..the cig companies were all over the south. he lived in Danville, VA?

i was told he was parking the company truck at his house, which was allowed (i was told)

then he supposedly got jacked leaving his house, with the trailer loaded to the max with cigs. was found bound and gagged, a little time later.

FBI showed up at his house a day or 2 later, had him in cuffs.

I took a load of Top Shelf Tequila from El Paso Texas that was bound for Las Vegas NV. I only took it to Phoenix where it was repowered and I checked off for home time. (I'd been out for 75 days) I had to initial and sign a full page of special instructions. The trailer had two locks the size of a man's fist and a wide metal seal. I don't know what the monetary worth of the load was but it was up from Mexico, the kind of booze where you pay like 25 bucks a shot for.

Disney fireworks, Savannah, GA port to Orlando, FL. Couldnt pick up until just before port closed. Not allowed to stop except for emergencies. Had a civilian car follow me every mile. Very lucrative load.

Don't know, have seen them stripped the wire from Generators that are behind a closed store. Most copper is tarped.
