Sweet! We got nothin but time to come up with sugestions.... (trust me) but seriously, would be cool to watch the build progress, and theres a few drivers that could stand to lose some of there chrome. (By force if nessary)

Well the sad truth is I bought it without a whole lot of information. The price was right, the miles were low, and it runs and drives so I jumped on it with only this information: I understand it cranked right up and they drove it onto the trailer. That gives me some hope. o_O

    Love it!!!

The 74 IH had that exact same engine!! Big GMC roots blower,.. 2 stroke diesel that sounded like it was screaming and ready to blow up just to get into its power band. Used gallons of oil every day. Mine had a jake brake and sounded like a fire truck when you use it. I was 20 yrs old when I first ran that truck. Talk about bringing back some good memories!

I AM A HUGE FAN OF THE OLD 2 STROKE DETROITS!!!

This is a picture of my back porch right now. (anyone need 8v92 parts?) IMG_0288.JPG

I just talked to the driver that is delivering it. He said he is having trouble getting in and out of truck stops because someone is always stopping him to look at my truck. He tells me it's in much better condition than I thought. I might be forced to restore it and look for another truck for the chop and drop hot rod project. I will have my hands on her tomorrow.:D:D:D:D

Not angry, but definitely disappointed. Something that nice should be restored. But I'm someone who prefers his vehicles in near-original condition rather than "personalized". The older something gets, the harder it is to find in original/restored condition. It ends up in some cases making it more valuable.

Think I passed your truck just outside Van Horn...or there is a second old orange 3 axle Pete on a step deck headed east. Oh it was parked in the weigh station

Might as well put an automatic transmission in it if you're going to make it a pick'em up truck.
