Do you guys ever go to the Dakotas? PNW? I'm assuming chaining up is optional and left to the drivers discretion?
Do you see the Northeast and New England a lot? What are the usual routes/lanes, or does it depend on where you live/take hometime?

Lanes are all over the place, but there's a ton of upper Midwest due to location and SoCal is pretty frequent if you choose to run west coast. Might change if you go home often, but idk. I live in Kentucky and almost never go to Kentucky here lol.
Chaining is optional, but I mean, it's kind of a best judgment thing. They don't change their lanes in the winter time, so you might face those sit for 3 days or chain up situations, but they won't punish someone for not chaining upCorsairFanboy, BeHereNow97, Suspect Zero and 2 others Thank this. -
Last couple weeks have been a little 'meh', but it's picked back up the last few days. Had a relay with a guy in Indiana after leaving hometime that took a while from him getting held up at a shipper so ended up missing the FCFS window and waited a day and sat around. Next load was a 2 stopper than ended in Tomah, WI from Sioux City, so those ended up being two couple hundred mile days. After that, reloaded from Waterloo and ran down to Vernon, TX. It's picked back up since then though -- deadheaded to Dallas and ran to Bessemer, AL. For some reason, they deadheaded me from there to Kansas City to pick up a load. That was fun -- I love US63 in AR. Nice to have to actually 'drive' a little instead of just hammering down on the interstate. Headed to Cherokee, IA, and then headed back to Kansas City with a Tyson load for a Monday delivery. Think both weeks together will average to like 2600 miles, so not 'bad' weeks by any means.
Everything else has still been smooth sailing though. Had my first couple mechanical issues, but nothing serious. The little pin that holds the actuator bag to the locking pins on the tandems came out, so couldn't slide tandems, but that's an easy fix in a parking lot with a bolt. And then picked up a big chunk of metal in a trailer tire that leaked bad enough to cause it to debead, even with auto inflate. I was empty though, so was just a simple patch job at a Love's
I've checked off 22 states so far and none have been east coast so far, so I'll consider that a win lol.CorsairFanboy, bryan21384, A_C_Cooper and 9 others Thank this. -

An interesting run was delivering to an Ethanol plant in Casselton North Dakota and then picking up honey from a bee farm on the outskirts of Carrington, ND. Always kinda cool loading product from a family business instead of some massive cold storage facility.
Been a lot more 500ish mile runs than I'd like, but they add up to decent miles over the course of a week, so averaging 2800+ the last few weeks.
The most impressive thing that's happened is I delivered to AWG in Springfield, MO and got out of there in less than 5 hoursCorsairFanboy, bryan21384, wulfman75 and 4 others Thank this. -
This load today has some weight to it. Apparently, Indiana likes pork
