Also guys... The trucks that are being issued/leased... Are they APU equipped, or would that be a task for my to-do list?

 

No apu's but you can buy one but has to be installed by crst shop for insurance reasons.
My truck has a DD15 in it. Its in body shop getting a slide bar put on and some paint. Guess someone ripped the air lines off.

 

What an idiot! Probably someone mad because they didn't make any money. #Smfh

 

If you can't make money at this company then you have a problem. I'm doing a dedicated round trip account for one of our agents and grossing 4k or better per week. And even my time working off the board and making calls to find my freight I made good money. It really is a cake walk to be successful at malone. A bit of advice when first starting here, the Midwest is easy to keep loaded and make money. Talk to the Dearborn, Middletown, or lake station offices. It's all steel but it all pays pretty good. Also, I believe I read earlier in this post, Playa was mentioning the agents @ Dearborn. I definitely plan to look into it. Thanks again driver.

A lot of these drivers who get into these lease programs to have become an owner operator do not want to put the time and effort in to make their business prosper.... It's not easy and that's what a lot of people want they figure it easy work big money... Running a business has never been easy but if you do your homework you can be successful

 

$1500 on 835 miles IA to PA so 1.796 to truck, wish i had done better i hate dealing w Alcoa but is what it is lets ride. Will try to take pic when loaded

 

Leaving Charlotte on Sunday... Headed for Birmingham. I couldn't wait anymore. I'll skip one of the most important birthdays as an adult, to make my life easier down the line. Hopefully it won't be in vain. I look forward to this journey.
