I don't why you hate to idle. I love it! It puts me to sleep. Idle up to 1000 & turn on the engine fan, put the a/c on max. I'm counting sheep!

I don't like to idle, only because I have an APU. But if I didn't, I have to be comfortable. I like the white noise of the reefer, of the other trucks. It's soothing in a weird way.

    My conversations at the shipper:

Me: Hi. My Load Number is 84818.
Her: What is your pickup number? It's 14 digits starting with 363.
Me: I don't have it; let me get with my company.

Me: I need a 14-digit pickup number starting with 363.
Him: No, all you need is the load number.
Me: I'm here at the window and they want a 14-digit number.
Him: Just give her the load number.
Me: She doesn't even know what that is! Can you plz check with the CSR?
    Blah blah blah...

    That was 45 minutes ago...

I really, really, really hate it when plans don't come together. What was supposed to be a 30-minute live load is now going in 2 hours. This puts my getting to Indy and getting the APU repaired in jeopardy.

And, of course, they have to actually start loading my trailer...

Oh, I really, really, really hate it when plans don't come together...

I have this one headed to Indy. I think he's working me home to Western Michigan. If I can't get the APU fixed at our terminal in Indy - and the timing doesn't look good at this point - I will take it to the TK in Grand Rapids.
