however i was talking to another one of our drivers today, a young guy only 22 years old. he has worked here since october and has nothing but good things to say. he said Michelle jumped him up to $18 per hour after only a short time on the job.
perhaps she is only looking for me to prove myself for a short period of time and will give me a raise.
yes i am hustling that truck around buffalo, no arguing it...... but really im not hustling, she always tells her drivers to TAKE their time and put safety first. i have to respect that.
bottom line, i had some good weeks at my last job but that was not the main issue. the issue was the bosses mouth and his lack of respect for safety on the road. his mind and company are not where it should be. -
The local drag strip had cdl truck races Friday. Our dump truckers were there racing. Nobody was hidding anything from the boss. She was there with us. I stayed a while but had to drive Saturday. Everyone had fun. She's super cool to allow that. Next day our trucks were running around town with the times still on the windshield lol

Thats awesome. Dump truck pay isnt much more here in Syracuse. So starting $16 is a good place to be.
Finally good news in trucking -
Isn't the c-12 a gutless pos?
I drive a truck on occasion with one in it too. I hate that truck. 6th gear to make it up a #### hill. -
If they had one truck, that they had reserved for and prepared for racing, I could see it. But not their everyday working trucks. If in fact, this does happen, then I'd be wondering just how many other chances she takes with her business. -
ALLOT of other companies were there as well. i think its more of P.R. event then anything. the trucks aren't particularly fast.
Big Don Thanks this. -
. Just kidding ya. Not the grammar police here. That one drives me nuts though. But hey, we knew what ya meant.
Truck races are interesting, I guess. I'd worry about the wear and tear, but like you said, if it brings in biz there's nothing wrong with that. All PR helps!!! -
Dumdriver Thanks this.
