That is a good plan and I hear the Nashville VA is really nice. If you ever get towards Clarksville or Ft Campbell let me know.

I actually don't care much for the Nashville campus. Murfreesboro is nice. My favorite is the Dublin, GA VAMC.

I haven't been to any of them yet, still on active duty. But I guess I could go to either one.

Hey I read through some of your posts through here. I applied to prime as well. waiting for them to decided if they'll accept me after they look over my misdemeanor charge from back in 2004. Got to call them tomorrow and see if everything is alright, i sure hope so.

Prime. I pass a bunch of you guys on I-95 all the time. Are you out two weeks at a time? What's your home time like?

I will say this, if you learn quick and can handle the long drives pretty early on in psd your instructor will take advantage as much as possible. but it only goes to a certain extent. psd is still a solo operation and if that truck gets too close to 3600 miles for the week prime will have yall shut down for a little bit. I don't see it as a bad thing. if you can handle it do it and make the instructor happy. your gonna be with him/her for a while if they tnt also. I loved driving the heck out of my instructors truck and he would pay for my dinner every night for making him extra money. win win

hey man i have a question. I'm in the process of talking with a recruiter. he just needs to get a good reference from my job that I was about to lost, scary. But In one of the first posts you made you said something about guys with bmi issues? I'm a bigger guy 350lbs+ 5feet 10inches but I can move around and run like any of you skinny folks just fine. I've been exercising, eating betters, losing weight and doing manual labor odd jobs while I'm out of work. I'm just wondering if they would take into account that I'm not an immobile couch sack or would they just decline me simply due to the bmi issue?

Worst case scenario you will have to do a sleep apnea test. If you dont pass it you will neeed a cpap machine that the company gets for you and then does payroll deductions for it. This is done after the psd training. You will be fine I know a lot of people who are using it.

It's not an issue. You may be asked to take a sleep test... high BMI is one of the indicators.
