Wonder why we have huge recalls for brand new cars too... Not everything or everyone is perfect.

    Kwantz,

This is my last post to any of your posts. I try to be nice to you and you in turn treat others with no respect. You toss out names and slang terms that are demeaning to some. You have been on this site for a little over a month now and you are the expert in everything and anything.

I hope you have fun with your 100 mile WiFi circuit, since I am sure you do not carry a couple of hundred watt transmitter for the return packets for the internet signal. Handshaking is required for the internet to work and it is a two way street.

So, post what you please. You will not get a response from me.

i am on my 3rd unit. in one year. same problem with the power cord. it will not hold a connection. not meant for a truck. freezing screens, loss of power. i hope they changed the power connection on the new 720, 710 is junk imo.

Well I've had my 510 for 16 months now, I think. Other than the maps being old and out dated, I've not had too many issues or complaints with the unit. Of course, there's a few little features I'd change but overall it works great.

I've had it not want to turn on one time. I held the reset button for a few seconds and then it powered up. Once or twice it lost GPS or something and froze up....pushed the reset button and it started working just fine.

Tons of these things are sold, so just like anything else, there's going to be issues with some units. Personally, I really like mine. And Mark (cc194217) has been very helpful with any issues I've had. Calling the customer service is a dead end but he's on these forums and immediately responds to any emails or PMs I've sent him when I've had problems.

    For the 710 I suggest.

The USB end of the DC cord lightly squeeze it to provide a more snug fit. All your issues are due to the DC cord (USB end) not being snug.

    Thanks.

Gently Gently Gently. Minimum pressure and you should be fine. Note in my pic how the outer casing is slightly bend in.

    thanks,
