    Class A.
The trailer will be GVWR of 15-20k pounds, which puts it over the 10K that triggers a CDL A. Add in the rating of the truck, it will be well over 26k total.

I've been driving a Ford 350 sd for the past three days
    And
    IT IS A BEAST
18000# + the weight of the 40' gator
    Up Virginia mountains
    No problem
Never operated a Chevy deisel pick-up
    So can't comment on that

Most one ton trucks today have a higher GVWR than they did just a few years ago. With that being said the state in which you are registered in has a bearing also. I am registered in Ohio. My truck has a GVWR of 11,200 the trailer has a GVWR of 14,000 thus I am registered under 26,000 only needing a Class C license. My understanding that a trailer over 10,000 requires a Class A in some States. Check with your state.

Do the FL70 & 80's use the Cummins 6.7 like the FL Business Class 2 run? Which is the same 6.7 they put in RAM HD's too. I know some of those business class ride like ####! The new one our company bout has bags on the back which improved the ride a lot. I would think the FL70 & 80 would be a little more to maintain & possibly less fuel economy.
