I wish this was true, so many drivers quit under dispatch or abandon trucks. We average an equipment recovery at least once every other month.

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

Years ago, before the QC became popular, a driver told me he refused to take a load to some destination. His dispatcher laughed, and said "you really don't have much to say about this"'. Driver said "well then, I quit. Come find your truck. I can get a ride home, but it may take you month's to find this truck after I park it". Dispatcher said "let me call you back".....

Ask the company where they want the truck left. If they give you the runaround, unplug the QC, and park it in some podunk truck stop.

There is virtually no other job or employee / employer relationship on planet earth where this kind of nonsense is tolerated or allowed. It just really shines light on how truckers are perceived and treated in many cases. If a man wants to quit a job, and gives you notice he should be able to quit without said company trying to ruin his life and future prospects by forcing into a desperate situation, OP lawyer up! Get yourself an equalizer to them. They’ll back down.

This kinda stuff irks me bad. No reason for it other than total vengeance.

We already live with the reality that one job mistake and we are out of work in this field probably for good. No other profession is that way. And then to read stories like this.

Every company I worked for treated me fairly, gave me what I expected or more than expected, and I gave them a 2-week notice and worked normally until end. Lots of problems can be avoided by knowing the company before you hire on.

Yes, I can definitely say the company. I’m at now. They would never treat a driver like this. Not in 1 million years. I just feel sorry for these drivers out there that are dealing with this kind of crap.

Some drivers do nothing to avoid some of the bad situations they complain about. Nobody can go to rehab for the "addict".
