Well I have to apologize, I was thinking main bearings.

So are the timing marks the same on all these cranks? With this being a fuel pump motor and you putting electronic motor parts in, are the marks in the same position?

Is this guy gonna build the pump for this or is someone else doing it?

Have you ever run big HP ????
Mine runs cooler with big HP than it ever did stock and we have big hills 8-10 % grade.

Some B-motor and all A-motor blocks wont take C15/16/18 cranks as they are what Cat calls narrow journal blocks, I cant remember what serial number the change is but I think it is around 4MG03600, the A's and early B's had narrow journals and required bearing rolls at every 500000km or they would fail in service, thats why they went to the wide journal.

As fair as the timing marks go, the marks are on the gear not the crank itself, the gears are interchangable but I dont know if the dowl pin slot is in the same spot on the gears.

    Les2 Thanks this.

Why can't you just go to Cat dealer and buy those 58s or 59s?

You can buy the injectors at any dealer that sells Cat parts, but if someone has a set they are not using or they want to upgrade it makes for a good deal for the seller and buyer.Alot of people have parts that they are not using myself included...if you can get connected to a person who needs the parts why not sell them. They save money and you gain some money and space in the garage too.
