Documented previous employment makes it easy. Un-documented will make it harder.

Spoke to USX today and since I do not have previous driving history, I have to provide past 3 yrs work history. However, I haven't worked since deciding to stay home in 2007 and enjoy my new grandchildren. During some of that time I was paid by the state for caring for a grandchild as my daughter went to school. So, I have to bring in 1099's for that time, and I need the months I was paid, and months I was not paid! This is turning out to be a pain. They keep saying it's DOT rules, they need to know which dates to look at what I was doing and check my driving record for those dates. Seems like a printout of my driving record from the DMV would be enough.

Usually you have to have a notarized letter stating what, where and when you were doing during those times too. It can be a real pain in the butt!
