My outfit has found a way to keep some drivers happy with a 5 day / 4 day rotating schedule.
Alternating 48+ to 72+ hours off each week. -
We are doing a 14/7 schedule, 14 straight days on duty, then 7 straight days off.

Hauling steel regionally l was home for supper on most Fridays and left around 330am on Monday. In 20 years I might have worked into Sat morning a dozen times. You can be bet on those weekends my truck never left the driveway until the kids got on the school bus at 8am. Most dump guys around me run a similar schedule. On the other hand Back when l pulled a tank as a company driver the boss would have run you into the ground and backed over you to make sure he got the last ounce of work out of you lol
Speed_Drums and GEPPETTO425 Thank this. -

I don't know about regional western 11, but plenty of local jobs give you 2.5 days off over the weekend.
