I have a UPS box that looks like a real address. I have used it for tax and business purposes with no issue. The only time it posed a problem was when my lender ran a background check and it popped up as UPS. I just gave him the address of my companies terminal and requested all correspondence go to my UPS address. I also live in the truck. When I take any real time off I just get a room.

    WilloW1771 and HalpinUout Thank this.

They have more of a tendency to do this kind of thing if you have a past history of child support delinquency.

So do you have to have an RV?

My first though was that a few trucker friends band together and rent a simple and cheap place to "live"... Like pilots do in big cities... Then if/when you are in town, you have a place to crash during home time and can visit the local attractions too.

But the RV Club now sounds much easier.

Crash pads are the best! But, I wouldn't want my mail to go there. I would definitely use a physical address and a post office box.

If it gets to be too hard to check my mail I may have to use my kid's address at college. She's smart enough to sort, pay bills, and text me anything that needs resolution.

The incoming mail at my current physical address is not as secure as I would like. Currently I use my church address and the pastor gives me my mail. To date I have had no issues.

What you planning on making millions?

If you are a company driver, you should have a place of residence, not some po box or some other way that makes it look like you are a vagrant. Owner Operators seem to be in a completely different situation.

Why are you standing in judgment? When I was on the road I spent so much time on the road I too never seen the need to pay the money for an apartment or the utilities. If you want to do so Godspeed. But please don't judge someone that like me never seen the need.

Not necessarily... Company driver here and when my wife jumps on board we are seriously looking at going the "homeless" route and we would both be company drivers.
