I know it may seem like it. It's a trying job at times, but I enjoy it.

Thanks Chinatown I will def be keeping that shortlist. As I have said he has found a company and I just found out he will be leaving on orientation on Wednesday. I am not all that happy with the company that he is going with as I stated on the original post but beggars cant be choosers and all that. Having said that however I would like your opinion on how long before he starts applying at better companies as he starts with this new one. From my part I told him that after a couple of months with them to start looking somewhere else and to just make sure to keep a clean record.

There is no confusion and that is not his opinion (he actually blames him self) no that is what the police report says, it says that the cause of the jackknife was due to snow and icy conditions of road it is very clearly stated by the narrative and as I said there was no citation or ticket. Yes the jackknife did hit another vehicle a four wheeler.

The backing in to the car hauler did have a police report as well.

If he's already with the new company, better stick it out 6 - 12 months. Of course he can start applying any time he wants to and might luck out earlier than that.

Yeah that's what I figured, most of the companies have told him 6 months and a few 2 years. I hope he can do it.

I've worked with many a State Trooper, and other LEOs, and I can tell you, I have never seen any one of them list such a reason for any jackknife or wreck.
I've made out too many accident reports myself, to even count. Sure, there's a checkboxes for weather, road conditions, or other contributing factors.

Even if it's written in the narrative, I think there's a huge misinterpretation of the wording. Maybe it would take a courtroom to make you see that.
I think your misinterpreting "contributing factors" are on the same level as "cause" of the incident, of which they have no comparison.

As long as any driver remains thinking any accident was "due to the snow", he will never think how to correct his mistakes, and never be a safe & skilled driver.

Okay, I guess I agree with you on that, if that is the case then he should be okay because as I have said he thinks it was his fault anyway regardless of what the report says.

From my part when he told me what happened and the details I told him that at least to me he was going way too fast for snowy conditions, then again I tend to be overtly cautious with my driving, better safe than sorry you know. I have gotten a few nasty looks and messages over the radio specially over the smokey mountains when it rains.

It's happened to me also, mostly in my earlier years, but it never turns out good if you allow anyone to push you beyond your comfort zone.
Let the supertruckers moan all they want, as sometimes not long after they pass you... you'll find them in the next ditch.
I don't wish bad on anyone, but the few I saw in the ditch after they went roaring by me, made me smile (after knowing they were ok).
