Need to get my cdl before my permit expires

I would call the VA. I know sometimes they will allow you to retake previous uncompleted or failed courses. It's worth a phone call. Good luck.

 

Those tanker outfits will lead to some good paychecks and a real nice career. Contact them and ask which schools they hire from in your area.
Even CFI and RE West will lead to a good career and the beverage companies can, but that's really back breaking work and can cause serious back & joint problems in the future.

I did call the VA. I am allowed to go back and finish my CDL training at any school. I should have thought about asking them that beforehand.

 

I finally got my CDL in October! And I drove for UPS for peak season. Now I’m looking for truck companies that will take newly licensed and offer tuition reimbursement! Maybe even a bonus but I know that’s a lot!

 

Most won't pay for cdl school tuition reimbursement unless they're the first company after finishing cdl school.

 

Here's one in Birmingham that delivers produce to military bases, I think mostly to commissary stores on the bases.

Probably cut some slack on experience, since you have driven some and graduate of cdl school. Military vet is taken into consideration also. Shuttle drivers don't deliver to customers or unload trucks.
