It won't happen you need to look for a company with a better training program.I've heard Crete is good.

You mean they won't be organized? I am in Durham, NC, and I have been looking at the job listings around from the TRUCKING JOBS tab on this website....Seems to be quite a few...When do I know to make the switch? I've got my Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.....

I wouldn't give them more than a day to respond with another trainer.
I'd either look at threads covering suggestions for someone in your position. Or post a thread asking for suggestions. There are plenty of good companies willing to take on a new CDL grad. That's what you want to focus on.

Should I expect these other companies to cover the bill from PAM? I believe it's $5,995 if you jump ship with PAM...A friend of mine just told me today that Swift agreed to cover his fees if he would work for them. Sounds good, but I don't know all of the specifics... What do you think?

There are plenty of companies who will cover the cost of CDL school. They will advertise it on their website.

Screw the email. Have you called PAM and actually talked to someone that can do something to help you? Give it a shot and if they won't get you going jump.

I personally prefer e-mail...I called their offices the day my mentor never showed up at walmart, and couldn't reach anyone...Not even the mentor's supervisor!

I looked at PAM just the other day doing my research of where to start. As soon as I read .29 a mile I moved on.

Here's some to check and most aren't familiar to most drivers:
Howard Transportation - they may still have a terminal in Kenly; not sure. It's a 150 truck company and a private carrier for Howard Industries.
Senn Freight Lines - small flatbed company in Newberry,SC. Trucks look identical to Howard Transportation trucks. Nice long coast to coast runs. Don't think they even have a website. Give em' a call.
    East-West Inc. - (www.goeastwestinc.com) - coast to coast dry van in Swannanoa,NC.
L.J. Rogers - Mebane,NC - (www.lj-rogers.com) - this company owns L.J. Rogers Trucking and Carolina Southern (40 tractors & 80 trailers). Long coast to coast runs with the Carolina Southern division.
