The EGR delete stops the exhaust from recirculating back into the cylinders, so I’m not sure why you would think removing it would cause more soot in the oil?

Because the carbon molecule are split and seperated during the egr process its why the filter is black and needs cleaned every 250,000 mi . Deleting the egr allows carbon soot back in the engine. Its important to do oil samples to read Soot levels on egr engines to determine a healthy egr system.

If the EGR is removed how is soot getting back in the engine? Once the exhaust leaves the exhaust port it is out the manifold, through the turbo, passed the DPF garbage and out the exhaust pipe? Is there some redundant exhaust recirculating system separate from the EGR on the new Ralph Nader engines I don’t know about? Not saying I know much about modern Class 8 engines. The closest I’ve been to modern diesel emissions trickery is on 6.7s.

Ive done work in some of our family businesses growing up and it's EXTREMELY structured. The Owner made no bones in those days I should find something else to do and improve on the situation that year. And that too came to pass well enough.

I never listen to the naysayers only. This could be a awesome deal or a creepy nightmare.
What year make and model is truck?
How many miles are in it?
How long have you known this guy, his truck, and what do you no about his company.
Have you seen his actual settlements, NOT just the $ettlement. But complete statements showing all the deductions.
