I would definitely check on a MAC. I just recently spec'd one with all the goodies. Extra lights, lift axle, dump valves, two boxes, aluminum wheels and lots of stainless and the price was $46,509 including fet.

Ya I know a MAC is probably on the heavier side but what I've found out is that a Reitnouer isn't much lighter. If you want a light trailer might want to check out Fontaine and Benson. Not trying to change your mind just saying.

I like that the reit is bolt on & not welded. easier to replace parts.

We had a quote last week on a 2016 48x102 Bubba which said it weighs 9,294lbs.

well I talked to owners of several trailers with my co. this is some info that will shed some lights on things. 1st.. some bought theirs on their own. they got what they ordered specially for them & financed thru their bank & put whatever they put down & whatever terms they agreed to. some others have bought thru our co.

this is I think where the price difference comes in... thru our co .. you spec out exactly as you want. they give you the total price. if you agree they take $200.00 a week out of your check until paid for. co pays tags & ins. no money down no credit needed. after 2 years you can buy trailer either your own money or you can have your bank finance the balance.

we have the choice of reit or mac, speced any way we like. I guess why a lot of our drivers went thru the co, was no credit check, no down, no interest, full tax deduction, plus the $40 to 50 grand does not show on credit report... sooo the huge debt would not hurt your income to debt ratio. plus if things did not work out with the co, you could return the trailer to the nearest terminal & not have your credit affected, such as a repo. I have found that just last week a driver went thru his bank & the payments are the same.
I am now getting info on MY specs and they are coming in around $42,000 and that is buying without co. going to compare the 2 options.

though interestingly the ones who bought without co bought at the same place as our co. I could also pick from about 15 used ones same price per week only pay off would be less time frame. the main thing I hear is all the drivers who bought used, as soon as they pay them off they trade them in for new, both whithin the co plan.

I bought a new Reitenouer Maxmizer 48/102 this spring. I love it! I had a Wilson Road Brute combo before. The J track is really nice for being able to tie down most anything anywhere on the deck. 3/8 chains tend to get stuck in the track easily though. I have two boxes between the spread, one on each side. I haven't had any problem with water getting in. I use a thin rubber mudflap between the "T" latches and my tarps to keep things from getting stuck, or cut up. Mine came equipped with boxes made by Aero. IMO they are pretty light weight and I would recommend going with better quality boxes if you carry much weight in them. I got the forward lift axle, and rear dump axle. These are awesome for backing into some very tight spots, they allow you to put it where ever you want the first time. I really like the lift axle for dead head miles too. Mine came with the tire inflation system, which I would not have ordered as it was around $1300.00 more for the option, but it is on there, and hasn't had any problems, however there isn't really any way to know what the actual tire pressure is, you just have to trust the system, I guess. I rarely had tire problems before, just checked them with a gauge once a week, so I have mixed feelings about this system. Your choice. Mine has lots of lights, and I read that you don't like that kind of thing, however I would say that with the new sealed wiring and LEDs, there isn't really a maintenance issue like there used to be.

We broke both main beams on our 1995 Reitnouer by dumping the air from the rear axle when loaded.

You have to disconnect the hoses from the valve stems on our system to use a guage. I could tell they didn't have enough air in them becasue they were squatting when loaded. You can increase the psi with a dial inside the control box
