At a terminal. On a 34 restart, prepping truck for student later today or tomorrow morning/early afternoon.
-
34 hour reset is complete. Waiting for students to be given their driver codes then have to be assigned one. Afterwards the training begins!

Don't spend your money on that TWIC at this time. I don't know if Swift requires one but they'll tell you if you do. Some companies even pay for it.

Hey, @Newtrucker48, I'm going to Swift Orientation in ATL on 7/7 to restart my career. I've had my CDL since last July, but haven't drove in the last 7 mos. Sweating the driving test a little...Can only read articles on the web and reflect back on my past training experiences. It's given some confidence back...

Yeah, just remember and focus on what you did before. It should be easy for you. And if you are rusty you may get 50 hours with a mentor, you may get a truck and skip the mentor process altogether. Something that's labeled as a test always gets us nervous but I'm sure your time in a truck will come back and you'll be at home again. Good luck!!
jparm Thanks this. -
I already know I'll be training with a mentor. 220 hours, I believe my recruiter said. I'm still being considered a Student driver. But, thanks!
So, is it more of an assessment than a test? -
jparm Thanks this.

Was assigned a student earlier, planned on leaving late tonight but due to getting to know him was up all day and driver leader suggested early tomorrow morning when both of us are refreshed.
Student was ready to go today but I assured him that once we started he would beg for a break and off time. He didn't believe me.
