How did it work out for you? I'm pulling the trigger this week on either the Paccar MX-13 500hp in a T880 (which Kenworth is pushing hard) or a T800 with the ISX-15 550hp. Daycab tractor for construction pulling sidedump in Seattle.

Go with the T800. Less electronics in the cab that can go haywire. I hate the hydraulic clutches in the 680 and 880's, and you don't need all of the nonsense in the dash cluster for anything.

    Stick shift or auto?
Lots off "stop and go" traffic?

Working very well. Have two of the units in Seattle area now. Good power it lacks a touch on the pass but in town it's far more user friendly than the ISX motors vibration & all around driving habits stoplight to stoplight it drives away from the ISX a touch. As far as the T800 VS the T880 I would not think twice about the T880 it's much better & very light we are now down to the same tare weight as the older trucks cab room is great feels like I'm in a Denali pickup very nice. MPG out of the brand new MX13 is better than our ISX by about 2 tenths but I feel this will get better over time as the ISX gained a good 7 tenths from 0 to 65000 miles.

Only downside is the Jake brake sucks in rush hour traffic it needs more Jake power.

The jakes on the mx runs off of oil pressure so the higher the rpm the better braking performance. They usually drop off below 1500 rpm.
