Saw aou can't new Qcom it talks! You can't read your messages when rolling, but she can!

It also has a GPS built in. I doubt it will do what my GPS does. It would be nice to sort through the crap messages and keep rolling.

    Anyone know more?

There is a trick to getting her to shut up. As the trucks in our fleet enter the shop (for whatever reason), they come out with these. I hear that the voice is quite annoying. It comes out of the radio speakers and you can't turn the radio down or off to get her to be quiet.

This thing is also touchscreen, but it does have a slide-out keyboard as well. I don't think the GPS is operational.

I also know you can play Solitaire on it.

If they are anything like the last one that I had with SNI, they are sweet. We had Navgo as far as routing. As far as reading the messages when rolling, that I am not sure about that. All mine would to would tell me that I had new messages, but not what they were.

That's what these do. They don't actually tell you the message. Just that you have messages.

I bet all it is is something that plugs into the the back of the radio unit which would be something you could unplug if you find it that annoying.

I know the one I have now beeps every five or so minutes until you read the message. My old "small-screen" qualcom would only beep once for each message.

I have one on my truck. The GPS does work fine. It's not as good as a Rand Mcnally but it will do the job. You can send feedback on it to help the software people work out any bugs.
Example: (Carlotta copper mine in Arizona is on Pinto Valley rd. The gps tells you to turn off of Pinto Valley to Castle Dome rd. " Advice: Stay on Pinto Valley" )
The sound doesn't come out of the radio speakers, there seems to be a speaker under the dash on the drivers side for the voice. It can be a bit anoying at times but helpful at other times. It's a great system in my honest opinion.

Bet the GPS can't find Hooters or Walmart or truck stops.
