Saw that with J B HUNT years ago 4 trucks sitting at a factory waiting for Bill to show up as he was the BACK IT IN guy for the group on their dedicated run

I run team from the southeast to west coast every week kind of easier to set a schedule when you have that kind of run rather than going to several different places. But what I do to make it fair for both of us is one will drive days going out and the other will drive days coming back. or make an agreement which the other wants However until you get use to this changing shifts from one to the other,it will be kind of rough..if you decide to keep and stay on one or the other, Day/Night then make sure you don't change it. your shift is your shift no matter what task needs to be handled. loading/unloading, fueling, whatever it's your shift your responsibility.
however if you have co-drivers like I have had where you have to hold their hand every step of the way then you have to as I have done with the last 3 I have had in the last 6 months throw their A@# of the truck. best advice I can give you though. find which 12 hour shift works for you. mine is 5Am-5PM 5PM-5AM.whichever you choose don't change it no matter what.IMO the strongest point is.make an agreement which one your going to take, day/night. and DON'T CHANGE IT.
