All I could do today was;
Deliver....
Pick up an hour away...
Then get out of town...
Limited out on HOS...

I be headed for Kentucky.

I’m in Sulphur Springs Texas. Absolutely beautiful evening. Couldn’t resist sitting at a picnic table and just enjoying it.
This winter has been tough.

 

My Co-driver here. She’d much rather I parked on the other side of the fuel pumps. So she could watch everyone fueling up. That’s paid parking. I ain’t gonna pay just for one nights entertainment for her. She’ll have to settle for here.
Hanging around outside tonight. That did me a bunch of good. Even the locals saying it’s a beautiful evening.

 

Was so comforted. Woke up while reaching around. Everything in its place. In my truck.
I wasn’t at home. Where one night it felt a little cool. I was banging on the wall. Yelling; Where the !H is that bunk heater switch!?

 

Learned one thing tonight.
Told them at the desk: I got the good stuff. Rangoons! An entire truck load of Rangoons!
By the time I walked back to my truck. They were unloading it already.

 

Ended up ruining the night there. Those guys won’t get my paperwork back to the office. Keep having to go in and bug them everywhere. Four hours there. Detention billed.
Then I drive to my next pickup. There at 6am. 2pm appointment. My PO is for tomorrow. Met another of my company drivers there. He’s back after showing up last Friday. Problem lies with the receiver goofing up scheduling. So I get a day of layover.

 

Geesh...
Had a bail out run. Basically pick up and get there ASAP. Just arrived.
MN 11pm last night. PA 2am this morning.
Lynyrd Skynyrd helps with running all night long.
Been told I get this stuff because they like me?
