great post couldnt agree more. and i would imagine you're not running balls out either, and still making a decent chunk of change.

Ups used to get $32 an hour a few year ago. Who know what they get now. I would rather be paid .60 a mile at 70 mph like their partner upsf. Then again they are so wrapped up in that safety #### their paycchecks get blanketed by the lower milage paid ltl companies that let their driver do their own thinking

it seems to me that in all the time you spend at ups climbing your way to a high paying job position you could of been an O/O making your own hours and being your own boss.

I hear you there man, I drive local tri-axle with a smooth bore tank and make around 55k a year, but I would take a cut down to 35k a year to own my own truck, work the hours I want (24/7 call out now) and be my own boss. To most of you guys out there 35k sounds like pennies but that would be my own allowance after i put money into a business account for the truck and pay off other bills, I'm just a country boy, I dont desire to own 500k houses, just want enough to pay my bills and put a little aside. (my fiance' does have a decent job also.)

yup im makin 31200 a year (600 week a salary) i go into work between 5am-6:30am, anytime in between there that i want to, sometimes later if i sleep late, then i'm out around 1 or 2, depends on the day, depends on how fast i work. i work 5 days a week, my mortgage is only 670 a month, no car payment, no credit cards, loans or crap. so i'm doin alright especially just bein 23. money isnt the most important thing to me. it aint all about the paycheck brother!!

the UPS feeder (semi) drivers make about $30 an hour in Indianapolis atleast...they put in alot of overtime and i know for a fact that some of them clear $100k

im at UPS Freight and some of our linehaul drivers who make around 64 cents a mile clear $100k
