At Walmarts in my area, WI MN SD ND, that sign with the box truck with a red circle and slash, restricts the route of entry, it does not ban trucks. Many walmarts have them, even ones that allow overnight parking.

I was shopping at the Walmart in Tomah WI, before I was going to move on to the nearest rest area. There were others trucks there that looked like they were shut down for the night. So, I went back in,and asked. No problem, just don't block the traffic aisles was all they said. The WM in Black River Falls WI does not want semis IN the parking lot. There is a lot of room on the dead end behind and along side the store that the city allows overnight parking, so the is no need to park in there lot.

they used to have big metal poles over the top of the entrances there to try to keep trucks out they kept getting hit and damaged by trucks that tried coming in anyway i think they just finally gave up.

Some walmarts won't let you stay more than an 2 hours, nothing to do with city ordinance, just tired of jerk drivers that like to throw their piss bombs and trash on the ground that ruined it, one Walmart that come to mind is on I25 in Los Lunas,NM

I'm up there all the time. They have 24/7 security at the entrance now and no parking for anyone so you can turn around and leave. You can't even park to go shopping. No campers or RV's either.

i really don't blame that Walmart. all the problems they have had with people sleeping in there cars, camper, campers burning down in the parking lot things getting hit by trucks ect.

the parking situation in that area got a lot better after they added the loves and flying j. i still try to avoid Willistion like the plague I think its been over a year now sense iv had to be in Willistion.

They even have security at Loves and Pilot kicking out anyone that's not a truck. Before that half the lot was taken up by pickup truck campers and cars saving spots.

As it so happens I'm taking a 10 behind a small strip mall. There's more than just Walmart for a 10 and it's often quieter.

I'll give you that. There are a few drivers here and there that ruin it for the rest of us.

I haven't read all the replies but here is something.

Some Walmart stores are on private property, not owned by Walmart.
They don't allow ANY overnight parking, be it truck or car.
I have been kicked out of a couple of those.
Nothing you can do in such cases because they (the private security company paid to do that job) will either call the cops or a tow truck to get you out.

Those places have nothing to do with slob drivers. They just close the parking lot at night, sometimes just so the cleaners are not obstructed.
