Yeah, but he has only been home 1 day out of 30. If it were me and I were sitting that much and not getting miles, See Ya!:smt023

yeah, but he "might" be a rookie/newbie, so he may not have enough experience or other job offers to go to.........and we don't know the job(s) situations at his home town/area. he could end up in a factory.......

he just needs to put up with the typical BS from the company for a while.

I have gotten used to him being gone and not getting home when he is supposed to. It is still irritating at times, especially when Schneider knowing for 7 months that he was having a child and when it came down to it he almost missed being there. My daughter isnt old enough to really understand what daddy going to work means. She is only 7 months old. We both realize that with him gone so much he is going to miss so much. He was however there when we noticed she was getting her first 2 teeth. He was upset because she said Dada for the first time and he wasnt home. I told him thats what being a trucker means. You dont get to be home for every milestone. Of course she refuses to say it again but you know how babies are.

yes, i do know how babies are. i too missed the "christining" of my godchild. i wasn't there. a "proxy" had to stand in for me. it made me mad as all heck not to be there. i got your PM, good for him. maybe he'll be getting home more often.

that's surely the trouble with trucking, major events, even the little ones get missed. this is yet another reason why there are revolving doors mounted in most tractors...............

He actually has his foot in the door at TMC. He is going to try to stay with Western Express a little longer but if even after Feb (he is flatbedding) it doesnt pick up it is SEE YA!

i do understand his position regarding miles, money, etc., etc.

but many companies can and do suffer lack of freight at times. its the nature of the beast we know as trucking.

i do wish the three of you well. :smt045

I worked for Western Express for about 6 months and I was so shocked at thier illegal operational practices that I am now in the process of filing Criminal and Tax Fraud Complaints with both State and Federal Agencies.

I kept all records of my dealings with Western Express. I have copies of checks and pay records...some of which PROVE that I was paid 5 MONTHS LATE for driving I had completed.

I think it is about time that companies like this should be held accountable in Court. Commercial terrorism is a reality in America and is often not recognized for what it is. I am disgusted with it all and I want JUSTICE!

Melton is a good faltbed company from everything I've heard. My husband and my brother in law both worked for them at one point. Never had any complaints. If you live in Denton, they are out of Tulsa I believe, and then there is Maverick out of Little Rock. Can't say anything about Maverick one way or the other.
