So, I'm delivering in Pelham, NY tomorrow, and the address is on Pelham Parkway.

Parkways in NY are a Bad Thing. Is this one of those parkways that don't allow trucks? Wondering how to find out the best routing...

The best way would be to call the place you are delivering to. They would probably be able to help you more than anyone on here.

I'm not that familiar with that part of the Bronx. if you were going to the one in Queens I would be a lot more help. Anyway I'm going to send you a PM with the main store number.

Maybe it's truck entrance is off of a frontage road or side road even though it's address is a "Parkway". For example the General Mills plant in Albuquerque, NM has it's address as "Paseo Del Norte" which prohibits truck traffic but there's a frontage road along the side which does allow truck traffic into the plant. You have to access it from the next road and exit north on I25.

Sometimes streets are named Parkway. That is just a street, not a freeway. If you can't reach the customer you can try calling the broker. They should have directions.

What he said. If it's a limited access parkway then NO GO! If it's a surface street then you are good to go. Thinking about going into NYC is worse than doing it and once your done and on your way out...it's a good feeling.

pelham parkway is a through rd that runs most of the bronx. It is not a parkway in the true sense, but just the name of the road.Has the #4 train running above. Can cause some skid marks in the pants. good luck.
