What does Oakley transport haul that they use 53ft reefer trailers? I know they have tanks and local citrus hauls but the reefer trailers have always confused me...
I’m thinking they get dual use out of one trailer, 53’ allows general freight, pallet loads, many fleets use short wheelbase tractors, and stay within max length with the reefer unit. Most reefers that OOs run are 48’, many are spread axles, also allows most tractors to pull load, even with large sleepers.
