Old Class C suspension affect New Class A?

Ive actually been with them 4yrs. 2 as a yard driver. Came into the positiin 1 month after my license was reinstated. Just got my Class A and now they are doing the federal background check for DOT.

 

Just to clarify... A drivers license is a drivers license, it doesnt matter what class you had or have now... Its the same deivers license. If you look your class A will have the same DL# on it as your class C did... Provided they were both issued by the same state.

 

What states suspends a license for no insurance? That's ####ing dirt bag #### right there.

You should be fine tho, just explain the situation if they didn't ask when they hired you I don't see why they'd hold it against you now.

 

There is a difference between getting a CDL and getting a job afterward! If you can get an unrestricted regular DL you can also get a CDL. The issue is getting that driving job after! I would say if your current employer knows about the suspension you should be OK. Good luck!
