If you don't make the cut in orientation, do they pay your way back home? Or do you have to find your way back? I was due to go to orientation tomorrow at 6AM, but I'm worried about my MVR record. I had some tickets as a class D driver that were recent, but when I transferred into class A those tickets do not show up. I was scared to go all the way to Springfield,MO with no money and possible a faulty MVR record. But I pulled my official record and it states no convictions or accidents in the last three years and the issue date is 10/28/2011. Will they ask for the issue date of my class D license as well? If so, I don't know that.

Hmmm, normally I would say yes to paying your way home. But you are walking a fine line of lying on your app.

Forgive me, I dont remember the time frame, but werent you supposed to list any traffic tickets in you history during that time frame?

You didnt tell your recruiter about the recent tickets? Recruiters only do a preliminary background check for pre-hire.

The real background check is done for Orientation. If the tickets are on that one, and you didnt come clean on the application, you are probably gone.

I dont know what to tell you.

During my brief stent at prime Orientation last week we were told to be totally honest and upfront with our answers to all application questions. Prime made a point to say they would work with us if there was a problem documented on the application. But, failure to disclose such information would result in us being sent home.

Like U2Exit said "it's a fine line"... I know this does not answer your question specifically about Prime paying your way back home. If I were you, I would hold off on going to PSD until you have enough money for a ticket and food to get back home.

Sounds great. I have more confidence in the recruiters at Prime as opposed to some of the other trucking companies. Go in peace and many miles and smiles to you.

    BossOutlaw88 Thanks this.

Thanks, I'm looking to stay with Prime for many years. They have different opportunities within the company. I plan on starting out with the reefer division for about two years, then going to flatbed for about a year, then tanker for a year. After that I'll have enough experience to go local with a local haz-mat tanker company.

    bossoutlaw88,

those recent tickets that just magically disappeared,

    may most likely reappear,

    just so you know.

Recheck your record every month or so.

    just saying.........

Prime pulls your MVR every year. Its called a "yearly review" form that you sign on or near your employment anniversary.
